Yeah. I have met a lot of forest rangers since initially saying that.

Other than being in the forest all day, it seems like a terrible job.

Yea thats why I joined the Conservation Corps, I get payed to do all kinds of awesome training- arborist work, EMS First Responder, Search and Rescue, enviormental restoration, etc. etc.

the novelty of walking around a forest would wear out on your first 3 day stretch of rain ...

You have to truly love the outdoors, the good and the bad of it, to work jobs like this. For me, it's worth it, only job I've ever had where I actually forget Im working at times.

Wow, that is awesome. I didn't know you were doing that for work these days, killer.

And people wonder why obesity is such a problem in America (and no Im not calling those who prefer the indoors fat and/or lazy). When I was a kid I played in the woods all fucking day, climbing trees, getting lost in the forest, hunting deer with MY BARE HANDS.

Well the point is kids dont play outside anymore, or enjoy the outdoors period for that matter.

Yeah. The reason why I lost is 100lbs is because I started to fall in love with nature in a true way (which means I went outside and did things). Some people should try it.

i still say OUTDOORS!

but y'all have to understnad, most of the time it's just too damn hot here. and when it isnt, it's raining.

All I did was play outside when I was little, on 6 acres of awesomeness. But when I was 9, we moved into a neighborhood where we barely had one acre and there was nothing to do outside. But there was one hidden place in the woods that someone showed me. It was a 10 minute walk from my house, and I would go there everyday after school to relax and just listen to music, but then it got invaded by all sorts of goobs. So I pretty much just started to stay inside, playing video games. We moved again in October and we're out in the country again, it's pretty awesome, except for all of the rednecks leaving muddy skids in our yard and people stealing. There's about 9 deer that come around our backyard at night and pass through, and then in the morning as well. We've got so many different kinds of birds that setup base in our backyard too. There was a skunk that had claimed our backyard as his, but he disappeared after a while. I think someone ran him over. There's a river right behind our house, and I've yet to go rafting down it. We went fishing, but didn't catch anything. There's a massive part of the woods down there that's just tons and tons of cane/bamboo, it's pretty cool. I still don't go outside as much as I used to when I was little, but I still love being outdoors. I just can't seem to break away from this god awful computer.
