Albeit old (back from 2005), this article is really interesting. It's about recording of Queen of the stone age's 'Lullabies To Paralyze', with engineer/producer Joe Barresi. Although I suppose it is not about what most of this forum's/modern metal production fans look in production, it's really good read about committing oneself early in the project, creativity, and retaining human feel in recording.
