SoundMaster said:Kick ass! Amorphis f*cking rocks!!
Love their mix of 70s prog, folk, doom, Hammond Organ ass-kicking metal!!!
However, I've not heard the new vocalist yet......please advise on how he sounds!!!
WithinAnother said:Amorphis--they were awesome. Like the other bands, I've seen these guys before, and the new singer is a big improvement. Back are the death vocals, and a good amount of older material was played, plus a few songs off Tuneola (my personal fav). Even the songs off the last album, which I thought blew, sounded great and a lot more powerful. I've been reading that Amorphis has been coming across as boring compared to the rest of the bands, but I thought they were a good fit for this bill. They're flawless, trippy and just a great blend of folkish-atmosphere and good solid metal. Maybe it was the small venue, but they were heavier than I last remember them.

SavaRon said:I'll be seeing these guys this Saturday down here in Tampa. Can't wait to see IE again. They were great at PP last year. I love when these shows come through on a weekend. I'll be able to really enjoy it and not worry about getting up for work the next day. I will let you know how it was after the show!

SickBoy said:You call THAT a long trip?
Beat this: 17 hours by train from Split to Budapest and 13 on the way home.
Travelling for 5 hours is a very usual thing here, since most worthy concerts in Croatia happen in Zagreb, which is (ta-daaa!) some 5 hrs from Split, where I live.
It's all ok as long as you've had a blast at the gig...
