Hello
Well... there it is... my record dealer got rid of me.. not that he doesn't like one of his best customers hanging around, but it pretty much turned into harrasment. "Did you get the new OL album ? WHAT !? In a MONTH ?? Well, get me one as soon as they're available...a limited edition... and send me an e-mail once you get it... will you get T-Shirts ? I've got a problem with my Dark Tranquility DVD" [kinda off topic, but you get the point...].
*sigh* I turned into an 12-year-old spoiled kid waiting for Santa, except Santa doesn't come every 8 years. My first contact with the band was with El Norra Alila. If i remember correctly, the band was labelled as "Traditional Oriental Metal"... Not meaning to be rude here, but at first I honestly thought it was more of a marketing stuff that would've best been kept to sell detergent, but then, they were signed on Holy Records, and that actually meant something at that time.
Unfortunately for me, the CD had a manufacturing problem, as it got swallowed by my player and was ejected something like 4 weeks later
I didn't have the occasion to listen to Mabool enough to voice a serious opinion about it, but so far it sounds like a pretty deep work, requiring extra attention and many, many listenings to be fully discovered... also Kobi has decided to show us what he's really made of
I was wondering, me being French and all, why the band left Holy Recs (I assume the long wait had a bit to do with it ?), if they still had contacts with them, and what they think the label has become (with good bands like OL and Elend leaving and not-so-good bands signing in) ?
Hope to see you in Europe soon
