Heaven and Hell
For those of you who are fans of moody/bluesy hard rock, I recommend checking into the "new" Tony Iommi solo CD which was originally recorded back in 1996. It sounds nothing like Sabbath or even the previous Iommi/Hughes collaboration "Black Sabbath featuring Tony Iommi - Seventh Star". You would have a very hard time guessing that Tony is on guitar and Glenn on vocals if someone didn't tell you before hand. The sound is that much different than "Seventh Star".

The latest release really slows things down which does wonders to Glenn's voice. It's deep, rich, and smooth as silk. Now I know why many people consider Glenn a legend. I thought is voice was nice on Seventh Star, but the mood and pace of the new material is clearly best suited for his style.

This CD certainly isn't metal, but just a classy combination of blues and classic rock.
