Ion Dissonance - Cursed (New Album)

Couldnt find any thread about Ion Dissonance's new Album, so here it is! Its gonna be released on the 24th of August and im really looking forward to it. Ion Dissonance is one of the heaviest bands out there.

Dug the previous album quite a bit, so I'm really looking forward to this. The previous album did have some songs that weren't quite so good, but it was still a step in the right direction IMO after Solace. And the production on Minus the Herd is pretty damn good too, though I don't really like the toms.

The album was record and mix by antoine lussier(guitar player from Ion) and mastered by pierre rémillard!!!!

Yeah but the mix def fit's them going back to that more chaotic sound from solace then minus the herd. But i fucking love this band so i know i am going to dig the fuck out of the new cd.

something being older doesn't automatically make it "classic"...

but i do like it musically so far, so i can overlook what i don't like about the mix... i'll pick up the CD.

I cant say that i like the old mix better then the new.. Sounds very big and natural.

sure, big and natural. it's also veiled, muddy, cloudy, dull and tubby, to varying degrees. i should think that the mixer would prefer to hear legitimate critique, rather than knee-jerk arse-licking. the former may actually help him do better next time.

Agree, It would be tough for them to top Minus The Herd production wise, but im also diggin the music.
