Coldwar , Sinister Demise , Carnival Creation , Mass Extinction
Voodoo Lounge, Dublin ,14th Doors 8pm
>Mass Extinction
First time for newbies Mass Extinction to play under new moniker and with new grunts , these guys blew me away man , raw blistering trash unlike anything on the dublin scene at the minute . It was refreshing (to say the least) to hear a bit of the old school riffage associated with the trash genre. Too many bands out there with the same sound but mass extinction have a fresh (in an old school way) sound.
Great preformance by these guys , frontman Tom Cunningham giving a great show with some classicly funny crowd interaction even starting his own waltz(toxic of course). Vocally strong , with a good stage presence , my only gripe would be the lack of the higher notes.
Drumming was perfect , excellent double bass blasts from James Pepper , as for guitar work it was immaculate with some real face melters comin from Brian Brennan and Adam Shortt. Good pressence from both axe men.

>Carnival Creation
Second time for me to see the creation live , more impressed this time , the ever pressent screams of the lead singer added beautifully to the speedy riffs n complex rythms and time changes ..... some nice four string work by Larry Newman. All and all a good preformance maybe lacking a bit in crowd interaction and pressence but look out for these mofos they are f'in metal
--------------------------------------------------------------------
>Sinister Demise
Where the fuck did these guys come from? Noisy black death metal , plague metal heh heh , imagine malevolent creation, obituary and killswitch engage running into each other really fast....thats sinister demise , impressive shit man
---------------------------------------------------------------------
>Coldwar
Need we say more ? A band that has reinvented themselves in my eyes certainly since the whore bred hell raised days , both coldwar styles are incredibly impressive , but i was blown away by tonights preformance .
The new shit is really really good , played a 45 min set some classic tracks thrown in . ill be getting the new cd , i suggest you do as well
