Anyone heard anything? This is supposed to happen on the day the DVD is released, in selected cities. Other than the press release, I can't find any screening times or theaters...

I'll keep looking...

Here's a post on the maiden bb with the problems... Seems that the NTSC version slipped out at some Wal-Mart stores (I hate Wal-Mart... but that's a whole other post with which I'll not bother you...

from the Maiden bb:
Just picked up the Death On The Road DVD from Wal-Mart in Princeton, Indiana, USA. Did they release early or is it a big screwup, as I read yesterday it was delayed again past the 21st. All 3 DVD's tested and working in an X-Box 360, Apex DVD player. X-Box 1, and Sony DVD player, all working fine so the NTSC version looks to be not messed up.

: Sweet DVD set BTW, visual quality is great. I don't like the black and white cuts to people in the crowd though.

EDIT problems found, sound issues in Rainmaker. Volume goes up and down. DVD also stopped in the middle of the concert before Brave New World and switched to the Song Select menu. Nothing huge problem wise yet.

EDIT 2 DVD kicked out to song menu again after Brave New World. I have a bad feeling the US delay is true now because of this. I'd appreciate it if a Mod would sticky this, as we now know the US version delay is more than likely true and has been recalled from stores. If a mod requires proof I will send him a pic of the DVD case, and the DVD playing on my TV, and give any proof he asks for that I live in America.

My stereo disc is wonky as well but it never cut to the menu. The picture just stuttered near the end of Brave New World. The surround sound one works fine with me so far anyway. Also, I don't remember seeing any black and white shots of the crowd!! Probably cos Steve's editing doesn't leave you enough time to actually register what's on the screen!

there are some reaaaaaly pissed off people on the Maiden bb... but,... then again, it doesn't take much to anger that lot.... However, I can definitely understand the anger after such a long wait... especially if the problems they are experiencing are actually what the punters suspect... (too much data on the DVDs) sigh

They need to go back to the person who edited Live After Death and stick with him.

Speaking of that, all talk and release dates of Iron Maiden: The Early Years Part 2 has all but dried up. I have been CRAVING that DVD, because it has the full-length Live After Death concert as well as interviews and other goodness. Anyone hear anything??

Probably cos the camera angles switch every 0.5 seconds so it causes the dvd player to go nuts!!!:p
