Iron Maiden: Final Frontier

The album is a grower. The first time I heard it I couldn't get into it, but now I love it! El Dorado and the title track are the weakest songs; highlights for me include Isle of Avalon, Coming Home, Starblind, The Talisman, and When the Wild Wind Blows. This album has a lot of Adrian, both in the songwriting and in the solos, which is always a good thing. The album isn't quite Brave New World, but I don't think they'll ever top that again.

I still haven't received the physical album due to amazon sucking, but I've heard the album and it is certainly a grower.

Why wasn't Mother of Mercy a single instead of El Dorado?

Glad to hear that you're the third person to basically say the same thing (including the admission that it won't top brave new world). I listened to it for the first time last night and i honestly just wasn't so into it and was prepared to dismiss it as one of those awesome "background music' albums, but i think it probably deserves a few more listens.

cause the chorus sucks?

The middle section of this album is pretty good....but overall its just as boring as the last 2 studio albums.

I give it 6.5/10 (with no bonus points just cause its Maiden)
