Take bands like Gamma Ray and Helloween. I love them both, but would not say I am a "Die-Hard" of either. I would not truly enjoy a set of either of those bands doing deep cuts or a newer album in its entirety. I would want to hear more of the live "Staple" songs.

This sounds like how you are with Maiden. Doesn't make you any lesser of a fan, just not that much of a die-hard fanboy. That's the point I was trying to make, which you seem to take offense to.

Got GA Pit tickets for the Bristow, VA show. Further than I wanted to travel, but apparently it was impossible to get GA Pit at Madison Square Garden, so I switched primary shows. I'll probably be going to the PNC Bank Arts Center show in New Jersey as well, just buying lawn.

I just purchased my Iron Maiden/Dream Theater ticket for the Bristow, VA show in July! I've been waiting to see Maiden for a long time and now I have my chance! I'm stoked!

They are without a doubt the greatest LIVE metal band ever.
From stage show, production, all the way down to raw musical performance.

As much as I love Priest too, they (well primarily Halford these days) can't hold a candle to what Maiden brings to the stage.

Yes. However, MSG fits 20 thousand people. It just seems like it's a LOT of people for a Maiden concert in the States. I've seen them plenty of times around here, but never really for over 10 thousand, I'd say. I'm just a bit surprised, I guess.

I've seen them in MSG a few times in the past few years, and it has always been sold out.

They are also playing at PNC Bank Arts Center in NJ -- there might still be tickets left for that show.

I have all of their DVDs, so my expectations are pretty high for their live performances.

Well I think they're two different bands really. For the most part, Priest hasn't been as much of a stage show as Maiden has. Yeah, the motorcycle riding on stage and sometimes they do something special with Electric Eye but they usually don't do that much compared to Maiden. Also, Priest, well how do I say this? They aren't as physically fit, nor have they ever been as Maiden. I know you'll probably say I'm just defending Priest to defend them but I'm not.

I just think both bands have always just put on entirely different performances. But Maiden is definitely an experience most metal fans should experience live at least once.

Remember what venue Maiden is playing in Chicago. Tweeter or whatever the fuck they call it now. Probably my least favorite venue next to the Allstate. For Chicago being such a big market, they certainly have awful arenas and ampitheaters, minus United Center (but there are hardly ever any concerts there). I really wish they would've gotten to play at Alpine. That's a much better venue.
