Bah, originality is VERY overrated. In my opinion, what matters is simply whether a band does something (whatever it is) well or not, regardless of whether it has been done a thousand times before. In fact, usually, I totally frown on originality, because it usually means that the band has left behind the elements that make a genre (or the band itself) great. Know what I mean?
