It seems that as of late last year he pretty much stopped writing for Spin, Esquire, and ESPN. I wonder if he just got exhausted. His last Esquire article was quite dark.
He has a new book out now. A regular novel, Downtown Owl. He's also working on a new book on culture, that he says will be all original material and more intellectual than some of his past writings. Seem that he is going around promoting his new book, and giving discussions/lectures.
I wish he was still writing for ESPN. Maybe he will once he's done. But I think he's one of the few guys who really gets it. The regular sports casters often don't make half as much sense as he does.
