Is this true? - Scorpions related...

I know Wikipedia isn't always 100% accurate, so I wanted to post it here:

According to Wikipedia, about Scorpions' album Love At First Sting:

Although the usual band line-up is credited on Love At First Sting, both Rarebell and Buchholz were temporarily out of the band at the time of the album's recording, with drum and bass track provided by Bobby Rondinelli (Rainbow) and Jimmy Bain (Dio, ex-Rainbow, Wild Horses), respectively.

Is this true? This is the first time I've EVER heard this...

I believe this is true. However I don't believe they play on the entire album as Rarebell and Buchholz returned...

Here's an excerpt from interview with Rondinelli...

Metal-Rules: Back in 1984 you did something together with the Scorpions?

Bobby: Yeah, I did the 'Love at First Sting' album.

Metal-Rules: You never got credited for it officially?

Bobby: No, but I got paid well, but didn't get the credit.

Metal-Rules: There are also rumours that Jimmy Bain was playing bass for that album?

Bobby: Yeah, definitely, me and Jimmy. We both played on that record.

Metal-Rules: But you were never offered to play with the Scorpions fulltime?

Bobby: The Scorpions wanted that to happen, Rudolf wanted that to happen at the time. Scorpion's manager back then, David Krebbs, thought that since they were the first German band to get big and they shouldn't have an American drummer and an English bass player, got to keep it German.

Yes, learned this not too long ago as well but it is true, and I believe they played on the whole thing.

yeah, that is nuts! i always wonder about how much stuff like this is out there that has yet to be revealed. i guess one day the truth will come out that i was the singer for LINE OF FIRE and shawn was brought in because he looks better than me. haha.
