the Scorpions are terribly under-appreciated

Yes they are...or were. Basically I think that from "Fly To The Rainbow" to "Taken By Force" they ARE a highly underrated, unappreciated band. From "Lovedrive" to "Animal Magnetism" they are unappreciated. And after that I ceased to care about them , although they got good songs afterwards :p

STILL LOVING YOU :yell: big crybaby with this one!
Music :rudolf schenker
Lyrics:klaus meine

Time, it needs time
To win back your love again
I will be there, I will be there
Love, only love
Can bring back your love someday
I will be there, I will be there

I’ll fight, babe, I’ll fight
To win back your love again
I will be there, I will be there
Love, only love
Can break down the wall someday
I will be there, I will be there

If we’d go again
All the way from the start
I would try to change
The things that killed our love
Your pride has built a wall, so strong
That I can’t get through
Is there really no chance
To start once again
I’m loving you

Try, baby try
To trust in my love again
I will be there, I will be there
Love, our love
Just shouldn’t be thrown away
I will be there, I will be there

If we’d go again
All the way from the start
I would try to change
The things that killed our love
Your pride has built a wall, so strong
That I can’t get through
Is there really no chance
To start once again

If we’d go again
All the way from the start
I would try to change
The things that killed our love
Yes, I’ve hurt your pride, and I know
What you’ve been through
You should give me a chance
This can’t be the end
I’m still loving you
I’m still loving you, I need your love
I’m still loving you

UNDER THE SAME SUN
Music :mark hudson
Lyrics:klaus meine, bruce fairbairn

I saw the morning
It was shattered by a gun
Heard a scream, saw him fall, no one cried
I saw a mother
She was praying for her son
Bring him back, let him live, don’t let him die

Do you ever ask yourself
Is there a heaven in the sky
Why can’t we get it right

’cause we all live under the same sun
We all walk under the same moon
Then why, why can’t we live as one

I saw the evening
Fading shadows one by one
We watch the lamb, lay down to the sacrifice
I saw the children
The children of the sun
How they wept, how they bled, how they died

Do you ever ask yourself
Is there a heaven in the sky
Why can’t we stop the fight

’cause we all live under the same sun
We all walk under the same moon
Then why, why can’t we live as one

Sometimes I think I’m going mad
We’re loosing all we had and no one seems to care
But in my heart it doesn’t change
We’ve got to rearrange and bring our world some love

And does it really matter
If there’s a heaven up above
We sure could use some love

’cause we all live under the same sun
We all walk under the same moon
Then why, why can’t we live as one
’cause we all live under the same sky
We all look up at the same stars
Then why, tell me why can’t we live as one

Hey Kittybeast...I didn't even know there was that much Scorps MERCH!!! Wow! I am especially impressed with the "Scorpions Parking" sign and the real surprise...the SCORPIONS COKE?!?!?! I don't think even KISS has a coke can out yet??? Do they??

At any rate, I love the Scorpions but have never invested in many of their albums...I have WORLDWIDE LIVE and love it to death. I also love Blackout...and especially LOVE AT FIRST STING, but Worldwide Live has always been the best disc to my ears.

Wow Kittybeast! Thats what I call devotion. That room sure looks impressive. You have seen them with Uli Roth?? O damn! What I would have been willing to give to be there!! One of my favorite Roth songs is "Catch your train". Did they play that as well. How long did Roth play with them? A few songs or a whole gig?

Could you tell me some more details about this [everything!!!! :) ]?

Hey Kittybeast, Do you know anything about these double discs. They have two albums on each one. It seems like a good deal. I just want to know if they are official releases or not. Kind of strange how they put certain albums together?

I agree with everyone that the Scorps are a KICKASS BAND!

I actually own the box of Scorpions set.I think it sounds good but lacks the Sonic power that most albums have nowadays.

A band like the Scorpions deserve a loud mix of their material that represents
their influence and legacy in the hard rock world.

Nice collection of Scorps merch Kittybeast!

some song faves:
In Trance
Steamrock Fever
Speedy's Coming
Hellcat(Uli at his gravel-voiced best!)
The Zoo
Coast to Coast

Hawk, I have not seen the Scorpions play with ULI. Uli and Michael Schenker did a tour together, that's when I heard "Sails of Charon' for the first time live. I'd give my left tit to see Uli with the Scorps!!!

The pricing is good but I believe they are Russian Bootlegs. As I don't think the labels have ever put out a dbl album disc.

Yeah, I just had to have that!! The Scorpions are like Kiss and Maiden in the Merchandising dept. They will put out just about anything. The Scorpions also had a perfume come out but I don't have that.

Kiss does bigger tickets items it looks like, not just a coke can... The whole damn vending maching!

the Scorps are a great band... at some point, they needed to modify their music with the times, they didn't. I was faithful from the Tokyo Tapes up until Face the Heat. I just didn't enjoy that CD much. There is so little support for hard rock and metal in the US, i just lost interest in alot of bands. Sad really... i went to Monsters of Rock in 1985 (i think) and the Scorps blew Van Hagar off the stage....

Monsters of Rock was 1988. I seen that show at Alpine Valley, WI. Great show. I think all the bands did good actually. I just remember it being an all day show with only 5 bands? Plus Metallica playing some stuff off of 'Justice' before it came out. It was 90+ degrees and the sound check between each band was around an hour. Remember that in the good old days! The drum tech banging on the snare (crack, crack ,crack, crack ) then the toms (Boom, Boom ,Boom ,Boom ) then the Bass drums and so on, then repeat a dozen times or so. That was always fun! Thank God they don't have to do that anymore! (most of the time anyway :D )

did ya notice that i said "i think" in my original post? maybe it was 1988 then... it was Van Hagar, the Scorps, Metallica, Dokken, and Kingdom Come

switch to decaf :hotjump:
maybe that's what was wrong....I didn't have any coffee :tickled: btw...88 was Van Hagar
