You might reconsider. This is taken directly from the myspace ToS. Read section 6.1 very very carefully.

• 6 Proprietary Rights in Content on MySpace.com.

1. 1. By displaying or publishing ("posting") any Content, messages, text, files, images, photos, video, sounds, profiles, works of authorship, or any other materials (collectively, "Content") on or through the Services, you hereby grant to MySpace.com, a non-exclusive, fully-paid and royalty-free, worldwide license (with the right to sublicense through unlimited levels of sublicensees) to use, copy, modify, adapt, translate, publicly perform, publicly display, store, reproduce, transmit, and distribute such Content on and through the Services. This license will terminate at the time you remove such Content from the Services. which is why there are only clips of songs on myspace for my band logos and pictures can be sent to whoever they want, but good luck making money off of my band with 30 second clips

Key words being through the Services. All this means is that you can't turn around and sue myspace for copyright infringement when they host your songs.

Correct. The artist has to grant this sort of license, or else they'd be liable for paying me ASCAP royalties whenever one of my songs is streamed, as well. That's why the "royalty-free" part is in there.
