Okay - all this profire talk is making me really eager to upgrade from my 3xFP10 setup. The thing is I NEED 24 ch - so it's going to be an expensive as hell upgrade.
What do you guys think?
1) Profire 2626 + Octane x2: $1300 USD
2) Profire Lightbridge + Octane x3: $1460 USD
Guess I'm not sure if it's better to get the Profire or the standalone Octane. They are the same pres right? Or should I just get one Profire 2626 and then some A/D converters for my FP10s (since they work as standalone pres when not connected via FW) and just use those via lightpipe?
What do you guys think?

how much for the converters to use the Firepods with the Profire?
I had 2 Firepods and sold them to get the Profire. The biggest selling point TO ME was the pres in the Profire in comparison to the Firepod...They are IMO noticeably better. Conversion may not be that different, but the pres are, so I'd say sell the FP's and move to the Octane pre's along with the PF2626

I've been looking into possibly getting the ProFire. Is the Octane just another set of pre-amps that you can add onto the ProFire to give you more inputs?

Do you still have the Firepod(s)? Could you do a comparison by reamping a clip with the Firepod and then with the 26?
