It's a sad day for metal when...

It's the ironic store where the underground masses can shop for all their mainstream needs. Individually trying to identify themselves as an individual, while everyone else is there doing the same.

Bloody Hot Topic :p

That has always been the funniest thing about hot topic for me.

I find it funny that I can walk into that store wearing my polo shirts and still be the most metal person there ;)

Did someone say GUINNESS????

Well Steve, you fail.
Guinness is only good when its EXTRA STOUT
repeat after me: draught is horse piss. HO-RSE-PISS.

I've only had draught and stout, and the stout was terrible - but the draught was quite nice. Good off the tap ;)

Extra stout though you say? We shall see.

oh and  @ derek

I bought the Opeth - Still Day 7" at a Hot Topic in Seattle once. A few of us were going to their concert that night and were killing time and joked about going into Hot Topic, so we went in to laugh at the 'hardcore' people that think shopping at a Gap-Owned store is underground.

Anyway, I was thumbing through the vinyls just for kicks and I came across three of em, so each one of us bought one. It was worth it.

Slayer will always be metal kings in my book no matter where they choose to sell their stuff. And there's nothing wrong with Hot Topic, They sell some pretty killer clothing and boots. If you're secure in who you are, you not walking around thinking " OMG I can't go into Hot Topic, people might think I'm nu-metal!" WTF?

We don't follow, we live and be ourselves without worry or concern for anyone who doesn't agree.

Hot Topic has a lot of cool rock tees; Sabbath, Slayer and Maiden had stuff up on the wall. Just a way I suppose of selling yourself to the younger generation. No problem here, I'll go down there and check out the ep.
