i've always heard the van halen brothers wanted mike outta the band since way back in the early 80's. don't know why but i guess they got him out finally.
as much as i'd like to see this work, it is doomed fro mthe word go. way to many ego's invovled and i don't think a 16 year old kid is gonna be able to stop 20 years of bad blood when it finally boils to a head.

Back in the day Talas opened up for a VH tour, and Ed wanted to have Billy Sheehan on bass, replacing Michael A., Alex VH was against the idea saying that Sheehan overplayed too much, and they kept Mike.

Really, what else do these guys have? It's about time they actually went through with something. I just hope Eddie took his time in rehab to re-learn his instrument.
that is what I heard as well, plus I also heard that sammy told eddie that MA is the background voice of VH and it wouldn't be the same without him.

I agree, Michael Anthony can be heard on every Van Halen song!
His voice along with Daves'/Sammys' makes their sound unique.
I'm sure the guitar and drums will sound great but I wonder about the Vocals and harmonies.

this is a multimillion dollar tour. they should do like motley crue and hire a couple hot chicks to help sing back ups. it's old school van halen so anything goes. maybe wolfboy can sing. he's 16 so his voice may still have some high pitch to it. hopefully he dosn't do a peter brady in the middle of the tour.

I read on another board that they are going to have samples of MA's voice/backing vocals. Don't know how much truth there is to it, but I find it hard to believe that Wolfy can sing like MA.
shit have some dude standing back stage singing along or get a keyboard player off to the side to do some background keys and vocals. aerosmith has a dude like that so did the who and guns and roses to name a few. even pink floyd had an extra cast of thousands on stage with them these last few tours.
