Itunes panning

I am shit with computers so it's probably something really obvious but my Itunes sounds almost mono

I'm listening on headphones and everything sounds inbetween stereo and mono but it's fine when i listen to the files on my ipod

any ideas?

ive noticed this aswell
i tunes changes the EQ on all the audio for some reason
while other players dont
i cant even hear vocals from some albums when using i tunes as mono is completely drowned out

When you're listening to music w/ head phones the stereo field is extremely exagerated... perhaps since the ipod is used primarily w/ head phones.. they have something that compensates for the effect. Shot in the dark..

Nah nah it's 100% something to do with Itunes.

When i go to my itunes library and open a song up using quicktime player it sounds completely different (/normal) to listening through Itunes.

There seems to be no settings I can change.

I agree though, the change in EQ is annoying even when I have the Itunes equaliser turned off.

its just i-tunes grueling preset EQ
