Jag Panzer - Decade of the Nail-Spiked Bat

After listening to this disc over the last couple of weeks. All I can say is "what a band." It's a shame soooooooo much of my time had been spent on living in the past(I had spent the better part of the last 5-6 years listening to hard rock & metal from the early 80's). This band has an oldschool feel/sound to them, but there's a modern feel to them as well. A pretty good balance of both.

I dont think its so much as living in the past as much as not much today is worth anything. Virtually everything I hear on the radio anymore I hate. I hear Metallica 45 times a day tho and I'm getting sick of even the songs of I like.

I do like the new Hatebreed song they play. Until he repeats about 50 times and his voice is terrible. That new Nickelback song sucks complete ass.

On another note. The "what a band" comment.

It is unfortunate that more people dont know Panzer. The music is great and the guys are some great people. I'm workin on it tho!

Iced In Flames-

You are right. There's very little out there that is consistent. Example: Loved the Buckcherry debut disc, then they pulled a fast one on the fans they had & released a "turd" the second time around. People kept on saying stuff like"they are the second coming of GNR." Well, they weren't. After the second disc they disbanded. Jag Panzer is one of "those bands" that I wouldn't mind seeing live. Unfortunately, they probably won't play out this way, due to the current musical climate. Which is too bad. I will buy some more of their records. This is all I can do to support this band.

Just keep looking for festivals. (I) can't do it every year, but once in a decade, making a vacation out of a festival ain't a bad idea, and you may get to see *several* of your never-before-seen favorites. Where are you, regionally?
