James Brown - R.I.P.

lmao, anyone who has heard anything whatsoever about his non-music life would know that his statement was perfectly justified. He's a legendary domestic abuser, for starters ^_^ No amount of great music can ever take that "dick" title away from him (and vice-versa), and the comment didn't imply anything regarding his music being terrible, just about his person being terrible.

Though I think James Brown was åsome(as an artist), I still think someone should kill Little Richard...he gives me the creeps
the man probably had more work done than Michael Jackson and Joan Collins combined...ok maybe I'm exagurating a little

Hardly surprising coming from a n00b like you. James Brown has put together some truly tasty funk albums not to mention some of the most soulful songs of the later 20th century including "I Feel Good" and "Get Up Offa that thing", both of which I was listening to since before you were a fetus.

hahahahahahah

He was still a dick. He just happened to be a good musician and had many of the greatest bands ever assembled.

so, you're saying that because he was a woman basher, a crackhead and whatever more, we shouldn't acknowledge the fact that he changed music in a way that still inspires many musicians nowadays? okay, dully noted...

Does the word "dick" mean "a guy whose music we should not listen to and whose contributions were irrelevant" in dutch? Here, it means he was a jerk and doesn't say anything whatsoever about his musical contributions. That's your cultural/language lesson for today.
