Janick Gers

Hello All

I'm new here and I'm sure this has been discussed before. But, have the ladies ever thought about adding a 6th member? Maybe a "Janice Gers"?

If so, I hope they get someone as entertaining as Gers. When I watch live performances of Iron Maiden, Gers is always hopping around/perambulating rather strangely. Very amusing.

They have actually played as a six piece a few times with Satoru from Japan filling in as Janick. A fantastic Janick she made as well.

Yeah, Satoru is great and it is always fun to play with her (she does Janick proud)! But some of the stages we play are pretty small and adding a 6th person (plus cab) would be quite a squeeze:

I know exactly how you feel. I auditioned for the Rat Pack show, for the Sammy Davis Jr. spot, and got the same answer for some reason. I told them I really couldnt sing... but drinking cocktails and smoke on stage, I was the best. No dice.

Thanks for sharing that. I thought I'd seen all the you tube videos....I better double check that. I'll probably be up 'till the wee hours for this. The things I put myself to see and hear great musicians and music.

Well not to be totally nitpicky but Janick's name is pronounced with a Y, so "Yanick." Not sure what the female equivalent would be.

Hey if Sara was Mini Murray and I'm Mega Murray I don't see any issue here with being Yasmine Gers or whatever else!!! hahaha Janice sounds like a librarian

Janice Gers works best for me as a stage name. It doesn't have to rhyme with the original guitarists name to work well imo.
