Jaxx and No Covers

I was checking out the Jaxx calendar, and I saw that Jay IS allowing ASCAP covers, just NOT BMI. I don't know if anybody has checked, but Iron Maiden is under ASCAP, not BMI. So, I guess you guys could've played The Trooper last Wednesday if you wanted.

I just felt like pointing that out because I like hearing a cover or two. Speaking of, I was working the Maroon5(ugh!) concert on Saturday, and they played Highway to Hell. I was suprised they covered AC/DC, and they did it fairly well.

Yeah, I was fairly certain that Iron Maiden was under ASCAP, but not 100% sure. That was the first day it happened, and all bands were directed by the owner to play NO covers. I think they were (understandably) stressed about the legal situation. Now that it is several days out, they have lightened that stance to allow non-BMI covers.
