I have decided about 1 month ago to drop JCM Records. It has been about 4 years now and I know that it is time to drop it. Main reason is that I want to concentrate on my festival. Cause in the last 2 years of my show I just love putting it together and I do not want anything to get in the way. I need to get a more diverse show. I want more Power/Prog metal at my shows mixed in with some of my other favorite styles of metal... (Gothic/Speed/Thrash/Traditional/Doom/Death "in a certain way"). I just thought that I would let people here know.

I am starting up MAYHEM PRODUCTIONS (Booking).

Now I have to figure out how to change my handle name...

I really think it would be cool to make your fest more diverse. Say along the lines of the BWBK festival in which this year you had Soilwork performing and then right after them came Exciter. It's just saw awesome that way and thats how the Europeans do it because their fans out there love their metal no matter what genre it is. The ProgPower fest is awesome the way that runs and then you have other exclusive festivals like the Maryland Death Fest and so on but I think more fests need to take after BWBK and be more diverse, attract all kinds of fans and who knows some fans of certain metal may end up digging a new one by the end of the weekend thanks to your fest. I really wanted to see Sodom this year at the Mayhem fest ( I know about the fiasco and they ended up cancelling) but I was already booked for BWBK and the reason why I booked into BWBK in the first place is because the Mayhem fest was not as diverse where I knew at BWBK I was going to see a whole slew of bands from Hypocrisy to Chris Caffery to Mors Principium Est to Jag Panzer to Death Angel to Exciter to Trouble and so on.

That is our goal for this year. Trust me... a lot of people on this board will attend... We are already talking to some great bands from all STYLES of METAL!!! Our main goal is to be a WACKEN OPEN AIR. This will be diverse.
