Jeff Loomis - Zero Order Phase

I had high hopes for this album as Jeff's playing terrifies me. While the the playing is superb, there's something about it that really does'nt grab me. I think the guitarist solo cd is a hard one to nail really well and to be honest the last one that really really blew my socks off was Kiko Loureiro's No Gravity. Other honourable mentions go to Michael Harris and Dave Martone.

Yeah... kiko's pretty solid.... I'll have to listen to it again... it's been too long

and thanks mystic for the howel link.. checking it out next.

I love both of Kiko's solo cds. The second one Universo Inverso is amazing, and I am not much of a jazz fan(I love music inspired by jazz, but not much stuff that is jazz), and I just dig the whole cd. Kiko is just good at playing anything and is one well-rounded guitarist, and I think Tore Ostby is right there with him(I just wish Tore would release a solo cd, unless he has and I am just not in the loop with what he is doing).
