Jesse Leach rejoins Killswitch Engage

I was so relieved when I heard Jesse was coming back!
I've only seen KSE live with Howard, and as much as Howard has a great voice... I could not believe what I was hearing on that last album!

I think most people can agree with me, when I say that their second self-titled album was EMO as SHIT! I've never been a huge fan of KSE, but having listening to their older; yet heavier shit- I had a feeling that their fans would be extremely disappointed to hear such crap.

After coming out with a shitty depressing record, and Howard leaving the band- I figured they were DONE for sure!

Lets just hope that they don't fuck shit up on this reunion tour, because a new album is definitely needed from them!

Indeed. I like both Howard and Jesse, but Jesse's screams give me the fucking chills. I can't wait to see how Jesse handles the Howard-era material though.

This. I liked both Howard and Jesse and I'm interested in hearing Jesse rock some of Howard's songs. "Breathe Life", "When Darkness Falls", "This is Absolution" would all sound pretty sick with Jesse on vocals.

Alive or Just Breathing catapulted me into metal. I was disappointed when Jesse decided to leave in 2002. Howard wasn't a bad replacement, but KsE didn't quite have that "vibe" for me as their previous 2 albums with Jesse. Howard surely had a better vocal range than Jesse, but Jesse had much better growls. I also connected more to Jesse's lyrics than Howard's. The problem under Howard - I feel they went too mainstream for my tastes. Then I started to lose interest in KsE.

Enter 2012 ... I could not be any happier with this news that Jesse is returning. It will be interesting to see what direction they go to this time around. I bought the original 'Headbangers Ball' 2-CD album which featured 'Fixation on the Darkness' w/ Howard Jones. I went out and bought the 'Alive or Just Breathing' album and was immediately thrust into metal.

I hope the new direction will bring out the old with songs like 'Fixation on the Darkness' & 'My Last Serenade.' I look forward to hearing what they have in store.
