Jethro Tull

I'd go with Aqualung, Wrathy, or maybe their live album Bursting Out. I can't actually remember where I started. Aqualung is considered to be their real classic though so maybe you'll be happy with that for starters. It has both of those songs on it (as does Bursting Out).
 
No idea if Aqualung is a staple of American classic radio. :) I'm listening to it at the moment for the first time in about five years - great stuff! As long as you like proggy folk-type stuff.
 
I saw a review of the latest Falconer album the other day. it has it listed as Melodic Folk Metal.

What a fucking :headbang: genre name!

Falconer rule...at least...with their first singer they did...havent heard much with the new guy.

"Songs From The Wood" is something like progressive folk rock yeah, and if you don't like folk, you probably won't like it. Anyway, I think it's great :headbang:
