Wow Ken. I never knew you hadn't heard this one and I have a similar story to tell about how I got into the JCC:

I bought the Modern Drummer DVD (2003 I think, when DT played the Instrumedley and MP did the Beatles tribute). I was skimming on the dvd and the first thing that came out was Jimmy Chamberlin and his band playing some stuff. Keep in mind that I didn't even know who JC was or that he was (still is) the drummer for Smashing Pumpkins. Anyways, I was struck on how good was his playing and loved the first song he played on the dvd. It was the only song I heard from the JCC cause I went straight online and purchased it off Ebay. It remains one of my all-time favorite fusion albums/instrumental along with Gordian Knot "Emergent" and Jasun Tipton's "Seduction".

Although I never liked the Pumpkins, Jimmy's solo disc is terrific! What a tasteful, intense drummer. He kinda reminds me of John Macaluso, great chops but always very groovy. Excellent album.
