The only thing I can tell is I've seen Armored Saint live three times I think and like you said he is one of the best bassists I've seen bring it. He was Bello good when I saw him.

Saw the Saint in 2000, and Vera was awesome. Besides bush he had the best stage prescence....

His work with Fates Warning kicks ass, also. A Pleasant Shade Of Grey is awesome (only one song on the album!)

Don't forget about Vera's other band "Engine". They are pretty good too.

Joey also has a solo release called "A Thousand Faces". It has a guest appearence by John Bush on a song called "Replacing You" which is the best one on the album.


Joey rules...........I got the chance to speak to John Bush via an on-line chat a while back and he metioned to me that Joey also played the acoustic guitar intro to "No Me Digas" off of "Revelation" which is some pretty good playing besides the fact that he produced that release as well. I recently saw him live with Fates Warning and the dude could EASILY play for Dream Theater.......he is THAT good.
