As part of the John Young Band
While the name may not be familiar during 2001-2 John Young played to over 1,000,000 people as part of The Scorpions on their Acoustica tour. John has also played with Asia, Greenslade, Paul Rodgers, John Wetton among others. In addition to this both the BBC and Channel 4 regularly use his compositions.
From January to early March 2003 John takes centre stage for live dates to promote his solo material to a wider audience around England. His band includes some of the top musicians in the country; Robin Boult on guitar, John Jowitt on bass and Dave Stewart on drums. These players have an incredible musical heritage including; Camel, Deacon Blue, Fish, Jadis, Howard Jones, IQ and even Sugarbabes.
The show will include an evening of meaningful songs from John's latest critically acclaimed solo release 'Significance' which features emotional ballads and thought provoking lyrics. From there the set expands with the raw power and the sheer musicality of tracks from the forthcoming JYB album 'Stranger In A Strange Land'.
