Joining the Marine Corps.

Havn't fully enlisted yet, that's what today and tomarrow are for, medical exams, mental exams, tests, etc.

I'm qualified for Marine Force Recon as well, so that is good.

Good luck, man. Prepare for the hardest 13 weeks of your life. I plan on joining later this year and want to go Force Recon as well. :kickass:

Have fun killing babies....

hahaha, just kidding. Best of luck kicking every other country's ASS! One of my best friends is currently in Japan with the core, he's loving it. Hope you don't get shot at.

Just got back from MEPS, passed, enlist monday, ship the 12th, or the 5th if I'm lucky.

Semi sudden, but not really, one of my first 'Doing stuff' threads was about joining the service, back in the day, somone can probobly find it. I was on probation at the time and was looking at the Army, but decided I would use my time on probation to think it over, decided on the Marines, went to court and talked to my probation officer, went before the judge, got my case closed 2 months early. Bingo bango. Oorah.

My brother just joined the Air Force :erk:
Real smart joining the service during wartime. What're you guys thinking?

Join-dates and date-of-combat aren't related. I don't know what determines your entry-date into combat but it doesnt have anything to do with your sign-on date.
That said, good luck and stuff.

No it doesn't necessarily. But from what I've seen nearly a dozen times, they don't throw you to the wolves for atleast several years after enlistment. Inductive reasoning my friend. :)
