I knew this was coming, and then when Tobias posted at Metal-archives that Jonas wasn't in the band I was hoping that was just the touring band or something. It's too bad, Jonas kicked a great deal of ass, but we all know it wasn't easy for him to do stuff with the band. Jonas, if you happen to come read this, I wish you the best.

Johan Reinholdz, welcome to the list of people I'm a fan of. On an unrelated note, your name is quite badass.

I'm fuckin bummed man. Jonas was such a cool guy and I don't like the fact that if they ever got over to the US I wouldn't get to share a beer with him. Fuck, well definitely all the best to him in the future. This was bound to happen anyway.

I'm slightly interested on what Johan can bring to the table, he wrote some amazing parts in TD (particularly the break in Fragments of Time) and his work in Andromeda is very good. Martin at bass seems kinda odd...but yeah. I have a feeling Skyfire isnt incredibly stable right now.

What makes you say that? The fact that they lost a member? It isn't the first time. Or the lack of material for the next album? It's not that there won't be any, it's just Andreas and Martin haven't been into it. And now, as F_V put it, we'll see what Johan brings to the table.

I spoke to Martin last night and things seem to be rather on the flip side. Sais the transition went quite smoothly. Johan has a lot to bring to the table as far as stage presence and lead work goes, so we'll see. I have a feeling this next album will definitly be something to look forward to.

Well not only that they lost a member but because I remember one of them saying how the record label industry is so crowded these days and its hard to stay at the top of the pack. Theres just so many metal bands and it's gonna be hard to succeed in the metal world. Plus they never seem to play shows and I don't see their past two albums as albums that will break them through into the metal world.

Errrrr.... Skyfire will get the recognition soon!! Just give it some time... They are an amazing band and have their own thing going for them! They just havnt toured in the US yet... and in todays metal scene that is a must... but there is no reason to say that Skyfire will break up now... and they in my opinion.. Iced Earth is no match for Skyfire... we all know that fire melts ice... :hotjump:

Don't worry bout Skfire's future, Arise is a terrible label and seemed kinda amature from what I read and saw. So I hope that they can sort out the label troubles and move on to bigger and better things. The spirit within the band seems like its fine, the label is the only trouble at the moment.

damn, the lineup changed more than i thought. martin's on bass now. well, maybe we'll get a bass solo or something on the next one. you CAN NOT go wrong with Johan Reinholdz on guitars. its just not possible. cant wait to hear some new stuff! ... that goes for Andromeda, too! their site says their new stuff is recorded. can we get a release date sometime soon maybe? both bands kick some serious ass!
