I can't thank him enough!!

This weekend I flew to NY from South Florida to catch the Porcupine Tree/Jordan Rudess show @ the Irvin Plaza....
I didn't think the show was going to sell out, so I didn't bother buying a ticket.. But I did sell out.. So there I was.. In NYC, without a ticket for a concert I travelled 1500+ miles to see.. LOL

Me and my friends arrived at the venue around 4 in the afternoon, hoping to find some scalpers or something..
Around 5 or so Jordan arrived at the venue to unload his equipment. My friends came up to him and told our story...
...And he added us to his guest list! :) How lucky was that? That was sooo cool of him...

Very cool indeed.

On another note, did anyone here go to see his 'Bach To The Future' program at the Rhode Island College earlier this month (I think it was this month....maybe it was April)?

Wow, glad it worked out for ya. Me and a friend were thinking of taking a train down to NYC from New Haven, CT. We would have been screwed , glad we didn't waste the fundage to get there. How was the show?

What an awesome show. Big DT fan but I don't know any of Jordan's solo material. Came off very well live, even if some of the tracks were playing through the PA.

And Porcupine Tree, absolutely amazing performance. Can't wait to see them again in October.

Yes dude, I think it was the coolest thing it ever happened to me... When we saw Jordan parking his car (a very nice Volvo by the way) I thought to myself... "It's now or never"..

The show was awesome indeed! Hope some of you guys were able to catch it as well... Porcupine Tree was perfect!

Cool story, and I was at that show...Porcupine Tree were excellent, they played two-thirds of Deadwing and much of it sounded better live, especially Arriving Somewhere. I was bored during Rudess/Morgenstern, they played their asses off but I can't take a half hour of nothing but keys and drums even if their skill was obvious.

I would Kill to see RM live and you were Bored! wow maybe you should get the album so you can understand...

Good things happen to people like Angrarules because he takes RISKS:hotjump:.

I agree with you.. I liked Rudess/Morgenstern alright, but it gets kinda boring after a while..
