Judas Priest sung on American Idol

They are only up to the first round of live performances...
Anyway, See what you think of this:

I'm not watching it - no Foxtel - but I'll now be checking out his performances each week like I did with Adam Lambert. Quite impressive. I hope he's an actual metal fan and didn't decide to do a Priest song just to be different.

He seems to be a hard rock fan.
He has turetts syndrome and is very twitchy.
His original audition was great but during the rest of the audition process he did become quite annoying and relied on his screams a bit too much. If he can get rid of that and use the screams in the right way, he might be alright.

I watched all the initial auditions but haven't watched it since then, apart from a couple. Might have to tune in again if that dude's still in it.

And yeah screams need to be used for effect, rather than all the time. They get tiresome if they're overused.

I really like this guy, loved his first audition. They have some really interesting singers this year, they don't seem to be relying on the boring RnB stuff quite so heavily. Looking forward to the rest of the show.

After watching the vids from this year, I'm actually genuinely interested to see who wins. Mainly because I'm curious to see what sort of winners song they've give a guy like Jacob or Casey. They're not exactly what you'd call "popstar" material

Either way, I suspect there'll be at least a couple of successful non-winners this year (like Lambert last year)

Just to prove that American's know dick about music... Casey was voted off this week. The judges showed some sanity still prevails though by electing to save him

All the pinch harmonic bits that Zakk play shit me, probably one of the biggest reasons I don't like him, he ruins all sorts of shit with big squeals

I quite liked the performance. Don't know the song, and don't know what pinch harmonics are.

I have heard him overdo it live a fair bit but when I saw BLS a few years ago they were awesome and I loved what he was doing.

He's been playing them for forever. Seems to like to chuck them into every song.
