different... not exactly sure what's going on with the guitars in this one, and your crash seems to be cutting out to early

I would say the guitars are too loud, but you probably want to fix the tone.

Eh, that first riff sounds pretty weird as far as the guitar tone goes. It's not bad when it opens up, but there's not really enough to tell. Maybe a longer clip?

yeah i have it in drop A, djenting on a 54, maybe not the best idea haha.

and yes.. wayy too loud. fixed now.

thoughts on bass tone?

i'm recording a generic metalcore band soon so i will have a chance to work on this mix with them, for a longer example to post.

Well I think that the bass tone could have more lower end frequencies. I can hear it, but it just isn't filling out the mix like it should be. Maybe it's just an abundance of the high-mids in the guitars. I actually dig this guitar tone, just need more "thickening" somehow; it's too harsh with the highs or high-mids.
