Just bought the Metal Shop pack. Please Rate my tone!

Hey!

Yeah, so I bought this Metal Shop pack thing a few days ago and so far I'm loving it! This is my first attempt at mixing something that came out of it... BTW, I compressed the bass for the first time and so far, I'm not exactly digging it... any suggestions on that?

This is an old cover of Enter Sandman I had done before, but re-recorded with the new stuff (and slightly tighter playing). What do you think?

dude, that snare is horrible. Otherwise the guitars sound pretty thick, missing someone high end IMO.

Try some of the AD patches that going on around. I started the official AD patch thread that has gone no where.

Well about the snare, it's lacking luster and character. About the tone, I just like the searing high end.

Thanks man! i tried loading the Egg preset into my AD, but I only have the demo... so no other snare than the Sonor one, I'm afraid...

Dude, splat posted his patch with the sonor-snare ... check it out. I used it as a starting point for my own preset.
