I met mikael at the san francisco show :)

He is an increadibly nice guy. But peter was like ill be back and never came back and the two martins just went to the bus without saying anything.

I met a couple of kids at the Jaxx gig who said they had gotten to meet the band after the show... but I sorta got the impression that it happened because they went out back and hung around their bus or something... I dunno, that to me just seems kinda lame. I would LOVE to meet them, but not because I was following them around... if I ran into 'em at a store or something, that would be cool... but I wouldn't want to be a "hanger on" or an annoyance to them... It doesen't surprise me that the other guys bailed, they were/are TIRED! This tour is huge and I don't think I'd be in the mood for a "meet and greet" with random people every night either, if I were in the band. I think Mikael is just really high on the success right now, he feels vindicated I think, and that's why he is so nice about everything despite being worn out... he's really happy and I think he also sees it as his responsibility as the "band leader" to not alienate the fans.

To anyone who's gotten to meet them, congratulations - but I hope the story behind it isn't something like, "dude, I got to meet them, and all I had to do was follow them out the back door, then sneak past 3 bouncers and stand by the door of their tourbus for 2 hours until they came out!" That's creepy, man.

I met them after the show and yes I hung out outside but it wasnt like I had to get around bouncers or anything. Apparently where I saw them at a lot fans get to meet the bands so I took a chance and hung out for about 30 mins and Peter came out and signed autographs and took pics with the fans. He was very talkative about the show and about the Damnation tour. He even gave us the heads up that the other band memembers would be out to sign and talk if we stuck around. I got to meet all of them and they signed my cd. Im glad I hung out and waited because not only did I get to meet them but I also got the meet the lead guitarist for VEHEMENCE which was pretty damn cool. It wasnt just meeting all of them that made the nite even more awesome but getting to talk to all the fans like myself.

Well THAT'S cool. Hopefully when I see them on the Damnation tour there'll be that opportunity. The atmosphere at Jaxx didn't seem too conducive to that sort of thing... that whole area of VA seems stuck up and tense. Ugh. Plus, it was FREEZING outside.
