Any other American fans of this band? This definitely seems to be a Euro-metal/Israeli type of thing. Kinda makes me wish I spoke Hebrew...and played the Bouzouq.

Hello Jomkiatz,

I can tell you there are many american fans of Orphaned Land. if the fanclub statistics are anything to go by, they have a nice following in the US- we got a lot of hits from overthere.
Also from the people I met at the show in Atlanta last year, it was evident they are already known in the US progscene.

There is a big following of OL In east Europe too in Russia and Poland,
Oriental music (especially turkish) is very in right now in those regions...not just in metal.

Huh. I mean, I know they're known over here, I just figured it was a more underground thing.

God, I wish they'd play a show here. I'd be willing to drive 12+ hours for that.

The typical american metal head, ie. "metallica head" has never heard of OL. But every one i've introduced has LOVED them. from people into brutal death to people into power metal.

Here they are pretty unknown to people who do not know me :)D), but there is a small fanbase, which I think could certainly base a headlning show. (I don't want to make you guys feel bad about me being the only one showing up :( )

There are other Danish fans in this forum besides you, I know of at least one

Yeah, I know, I've seen some of his posts. But I don't think he was at the show they played, so you wouldn't know if he would show up to that one, since I remember him being from the other side of the country. (Small country, sure, but we have horrible train times)

I'll trust you on that
