Seeing as Southy is bored, I will share.

Saw Them Crooked Vultures on Monday. Very, very awesome live band. Crowd were meh, the venue was downright shite but that's probably more to do with the fact that I'm a dwarf.

So, not the best gig I've been to, but the band themselves were top notch.

I saw them early in the year and they were awesome, and seeing the songs live really made me dig the album a lot more. I hope they follow it up with another and go on to get the cred they deserve.

Having the same guitarist and lead singer as Queens Of The Stone Age gives them a somewhat similar sound, but more quirky, heavy blues based rock stuff. Dave Grohl is easily one of if not my favourite of rock drummers, when I saw them I couldn't take my eyes off him.

Yes, agreed. You can hear a lot of Zep in some of the tracks I think, not unsurprisingly.

Grohl is a fucking demon. He has such passion for what he's doing, even if he was shit you would watch him. He's amazing. Watching them go into extended jams was joyful, they are so effortless, and tighter than many a long standing band.

Yeah, I quite like them.
