Hails!

I found UM via the ProgPowerUSA site, so I registered.

My name is Mark, and I'm the guitarist for Overlorde. Maybe some of you have heard of us.

Nice to meet you all!

Mothernorth...

Overlorde plays U.S. Power metal, a genre which some have said we helped define in the 80's with our 1987 EP.

If you visit www.overlorde.com, you can read our rather whacky story and hear some tunes.

Our singer is Bobby Lucas, formerly of Seven Witches and Exhibition (which are bands you may already know).

Oracle,

No, I myself won't be at ProgPower. But one of our Force Recon Pathfinders, "Rider of Theli" here on UM , will be there handing out Overlorde
flyers. He might be hanging with people wearing Snakenet.com t-shirts also (people & fans from that site/forum). So if you see anyone promoting Overlorde please take some time to talk to him. Here's a post releated to it:

Just found that Theli posteed a picture of himself here:

Just downloaded the live sample of Snow Giant!
The singer has undoubtedly a great voice! Even if it's not my kind of metal I must say you're very good...

Ahhh, sorry its not your style, MotherNorth. But thank you for the compliment. Imagine what our singer sounds like in the studio if he impressed you so much live.

When our new CD is released in December, I hope you'll tell any of friends that do like our style about us.

What style of metal is your favorite? Are you a fan of guitar instrumentals by chance???

LLR&R,

M.E.

I listen mostly to blackmetal bands but sometimes I make exceptions for songs I like!
I used to play guitar myself (now I've given up for my studies) and I like guitar instrumentals. When your cd releases I'll tell you everyone could be interested in your music. Will be your cd available in Italian shop???

Thanks!

The CD should be available in Italy. Our label is re-doing its website so we'll see what its distribution is when the site comes on-line. I know they currently have Italian distro deals with Black Widow and Underground Symphony.

BTW, our Bassist's name is John "Kong" Bunucci. A 100% Italian American!

Regarding guitar instrumentals, I asked because I also have recordings like that. You can download some sample MP3s from my solo website. Material similar to Joe Satriani in style. http://www.meflyingv.com

Welcome to UM, Mark..will you be at ProgPower this weekend? If so I'll see you there :)

I just realized you may not have seen I replied to you (no e-mail notice) since I included my reply in answer to MotherNorth

Probably too late, oh well...

M.E.

Sorry you weren't able to go, Mark..I don't think I saw your friend there, but with a couple thousand people milling around all weekend, that's not entirely surprising. :)
