I heard it all about Death Magnetic and how shitty it sounds, I have to think again.

There's a lot of the rock generation who have aged and who are now in their 40s, and who are still holding on to what was 20 or 30 years ago, and I don't fault that, whatsoever. But obviously compression plays a different role in music and mixing and mastering than it did 20 years ago or 30 years ago. And obviously, MP3s and online services and downloads — it's a different game than it was. So obviously things sound different. You know, there's no right or wrong here. It's truly about tastes, and it's truly about what people prefer."

While I can agree with the point about how the online services have changed music I do not understand how someone can think clipping and distortion sounds good. :ill::zombie: Especially when an mp3 is a compressed version of a file. I don't even want to hear an mp3 rip of death magnetic. Christ. Please do another Clipping Death song NOW.

Damn, if it wasn't because we need them so badly, all drummers would have been put down a long time ago!

Everyone's a winner. To thine own self be true. There is no right and wrong. Just go with what your heart tells you.

Thanks Lars. Glad to know you're still on top of things. :p
