It's Fortin time once again!

Mike added a choke, completely re-worked three channels, added depth controls for each channel, and added a "glass" control to control the sheen in the power amp (controls the amount of grain vs smoothness of the top end).

about time, i've been waiting to see one of these with depth knobs, Mike Fortin makes amps sound even more brutal and amazing

you spend way too much money having amps modded that are really good in the first place and that you're gonna sell eventually anyways...
save that money and just get a fucking Earforce Two mate ;)

What a dick...

Jealous of the amp on its own, let alone the mod's. As said previously, clips please. Perhaps varying settings of the depth and glass knobs. Just curious to know how they are going to change the sound of an already monstrous amp.

That EVH is going to be my live amp, and it's not going anywhere :p

I needed some added versatility and wanted to get the top end haze cleaned up a bit ;)

I have something in the vein of the Earfoce; my Baron K2. It's super cutting and chunky, and doesn't have a bit of fizz.

I actually don't have any modded amps aside from this one and one I got as a present from someone.

Yes, clips will surely follow. I'm sure everyone is curious to hear about it.

Let me tell you this, the cost of the mod and how much I paid for this amp is literally half as much as a new one costs, so I'm in pretty good hands ;)

just pulling your leg mate :p

still, I give you 6 months till you sell it with a huge loss....6 months tops ;)
I find that harsh/smooth glass thing interesting though! Do you know what it's doing exactly?

I don't know exactly what it does, aside from the fact that it is part of the power amp section.

I know you're only playing. I guarantee I'll get more or as much as I paid for it ;)

I also forgot to mention that each of the depth controls are push pull; it allows you to choose from two ranges of the low end to expand.

Let me tell you this, the cost of the mod and how much I paid for this amp is literally half as much as a new one costs, so I'm in pretty good hands ;)

When there's no more room in hell the dead will walk the earth :D

Now we gotta hear that sumbitch!

Am I the only one who thinks the 5150 III is a really ugly amp? The white knobs on the white faceplate just looks horrible, IMO.

Wonder what amp actually does have the most knobs? I know the Mark V is up there.....
