JustHost Double-billed me

Hey guys,

My domain has been on JustHost for 2 years now. Renewal time came up, so I thought I would jump ahead and pay my renewal fee before the warning messages started coming in. So I did, paid it last month....

Just now I got an email from PayPal notifying me the same amount has been drawn from my account again.

I've contacted their billing department about this, because it's a clear system error. I expect them to refund the overdrawn payment without issue.

This is more a contingency thread, because I want to know what I can pursue in case the billing department doesn't come up with a satisfactory solution.

To the best of my knowledge there is a payment dispute function through PayPal - I would file a claim using this if there is no resolution. Send evidence of the initial payment - they will likely refund the duped payment for you then go after the hosting company for thier money. Give JustHost a couple days tops as there are timeframes on these sorts of disputes. I would call the Hosting company if they have a number listed as this would likely lead to a speedier resolution than emailing back and forth. I wouldn't wait more than 7 days to file with Paypal though.
 
Hey dude. Happened to me the first time I signed up wit them. They refunded me within a few days and apologized for the mistake. Hopefully works out the same for you :)
 
Yep! For all their fail, they aren't too bad :) helped me back up a nice chunk of lost files the other week... Nearly lost 4 days work!
 
They refunded the overdrawn payment promptly. All resolved now.


Good to hear that they refunded your money. All's well and hope it doesn't happen again. :cool:
