Hi all, I' m new here, I just want to ask a question bout the kalevala, were can I know more bout it , is it possible to hear it or download like an mp3???

I doubt there's any mp3's out of it. There's no official notes for it or anything, it's just the poems that are Kalevala.

Actually, I recall browsing one day through a multimedia cd about ancient Finnish traditions and stuff... and in one section, there actually were some Kalevala style poetry recited by old poets and soothsayers and the like (very poor quality, the original recordings took place a very long time ago and the people whose speech was recorded were supposedly few of the last ones who possessed and remembered the traditions) - so my wild guess is that there just might be some MP3's available around the net... if you reallyREALLY wish to listen to them is not my concern (I'd say it's not worth the trouble )

Tolkien had taken a lot from........
