Katatonia cover or sing-a-long contest!

Calling all musicians, singers or anyone who is willing to make a fool of themselves! Katatonia.com is proud to announce the 'Katatonia cover or sing-a-long contest'. We're not asking you to enter any studios or even to be the most competent singers or musicians - entries can be serious or more jokish and fun. Entries will be placed on the official Katatonia mp3.com website for everyone to hear. Fans will then vote (by e-mail) on their favorites. The entry with the most votes wins a secret grab-bag filled with Katatonia goodies. Send your mp3s to contest@katatonia.com AFTER you have read and understand the following rules:

1. Entries must be full songs and can either be your band covering the song, or just singing.
2. You may NOT sing or play along with a Katatonia CD, the recording must be 100% your instruments or voice.
3. All entries must be in mp3 format.
5. Multiple entries are allowed.
4. The entries will be placed on the Katatonia mp3.com page as soon as they are received. The contest will end and the winner will be announced on September 30th.

Once you understand these rules, send your mp3 entries to contest@katatonia.com. Any entry not following these rules will be deleted. Voting will not begin for several weeks to allow entries to be submitted and placed online. An announcement will be made here once voting can begin. That's it! So start rockin' . . .

Entries #4, #5 and #6 are now up at the Katatonia mp3.com page (http://www.mp3.com/katatoniadotcom) for the Katatonia 'Cover or sing-a-long' contest. #4 is a raw acoustic verison of 'A Darkness Coming' from Tonight's Decision - #5 is an amature surf rock joke version of 'We Must Bury You' from the Last Fair Deal Gone Down album done by the same guys who did #4 - and #6 is a synth based gothic rock with classical and modern influences version of 'Deadhouse' from Discouraged Ones that should not be missed.
