I got an 85 Volvo wagon that I got for 600 bucks about a year ago. I'm the kind of person that would rather have a 600 dollar car and 9000 bucks in my cd collection. But I plan on getting a small used pick up soon in the 4 to 5 grand range.

These days, I'm drivin' an '85 GMc SUBURBAN, 4X4, 16" wheels w/ an UNGODLY lift kit. It's big, it's black, it's scary - it has SLAYER on the front windsheild and MEGADETH on the back. JVC system that rocks HARD.

But, my baby will always be the truck I bought for next to nothing and restored w/ my father. '82 RANGER... candy apple red, all carpeted interior (black), leather bucket seats, 15" rims, rhino liner (back before they were popular), illegal tint, 1,000 watt kenwood cd system w/ 10'' speakers DIRECTLY behind the seat. BRUTAL! PIONEER 6 disc changer behind the shifter....w/ the coup de gras being an airbrushed VIC RATTLEHEAD on the hood and MEGADETH style GREGADETH airbrushed on the tailgate. I got hit by an R.V. during the '96 OLYMPICS and it got totalled. I still have the system, the carpet, the rims, the hood and the tailgate. One day, oh yes, one day my friends- GREGADETH will ride again....

I hear that one. We have an 86 Dodge RamCharger. I hate it but I'm starting to think my husband gave birth to it, god forbid I say something like "fucking truck" or anything, he throws such a fit. I suppose you men all have to be that way about something/ My baby was an 86 Cavalier that I'd kill to have again, but we sold it to my dad when we bought our FUCKING truck. My dad runs his cars to shit, so that thing is nothing like it was when I handed over the keys. I'd only want it back if it was as awesome as it was when I owned it, which will never happen again. My husband has decided there are very, VERY few cars that are worthy of me and the kids, so eventually I'll own an Accord (the only one with his approval), but I have too many other silly things to buy at the moment, like food and clothes and toys and diapers...
