Kick drum beater

What kick drum beater style do you guys like for your kicks?

Plastic, ive heard wood is good too but ive never tried it myself.

i prefer plastic in most cases, but i don't like the damage it can do to the head.

Those are going to be really light, and would probably feel awkward on a set of regular pedals. The trick pedals, and axis pedals too, are made of really lightweight aluminum.

For a regular set of pedals I'd go with the Danmars, or a set of Iron Cobra beaters.

I used slug beaters for the past 5 years on iron cobra, and they were great.
I just recently switched to axis longboards for heel toe technique, and the DW style beaters work well for that.

I'd give slug beaters a go if you're not doing heel toe.

My drummer uses longboards with DW beaters, the rubber side. He hated the axis beaters.
