Well, but England did NOT change a thing. Cole came for Milner and Heskey for Defoe, both on-position changes. It wasn't until the 87th minute when Capello brought Wright-Phillips for Johnson, thus restructuring the rigid 4-4-2 only slightly... if at all.

Yes, but that could have gone either direction. An equaliser might have caused our team to come out more furiously after the break but instead, England was still on top up until Müller scored the first counter.

We'll never know what would have happened but if you want to get far in such a tournament, you gotta have the mentality and quality to get over such a situation, especially when there's so much time left.

Kudos to the English public, players and press for not using this as an excuse for a lacklustre performance.

First of all most horrible Ref work I've seen in a while, just this entire tournament! But seriously at world class, 2-1 at half time should NOT affect you so adversely, it's simply as that, if your team isn't mentally fit to take 1 goal in the neverregion, then you shouldn't be on the field!

Usa came from 2 nil in one of their games, others have done better....
