I may have a theory on this subject.
A friend of mine and I discussed who played what solo on wich songs and came to the conclusion that Megadave or "The General" plays alot of the leads on this set.
Maybe Dave feels his arm isn't 100%, and therefor needs to cut back on the speed just to get the notes in the leads right.

caught them at download and they were fucking class the only dodgy bit was the spanish guitar break in holy wars grover played it and bolloxed it up completely-the drums were great-nearly cut you in half.they all seemed really up for the gig and i hope they get the headline spot they deserve next year.
