Nev Pearce of Australia's "Rabid Noise" podcast recently conducted an interview with KILLSWITCH ENGAGE singer Jesse Leach. You can now listen to the chat using the Spreaker widget below.Asked if KILLSWITCH ENGAGE has plans to write and record the follow-up to 2013's "Disarm The Descent" album, Leach responded: "We're getting together mid-February to show each other our own demos and talk about it. But, in the meantime, we'll have a song come out in April, which is part of the 'Game Of Thrones' TV series. We wrote a song for them, and we're all pretty proud of it, man. So they're gonna drop that, and we actually might start playing it live. We're all pretty stoked on that. So maybe have the album done by summer, hopefully, and then start hitting some of the festivals and stuff like that. We'll see what happens."Leach also spoke about the possibility of one day releasing a book that will contain some of the same stories that he will tell during his upcoming solo DJ and spoken-word tour that runs from January 15 through January 24 in Australia."I have an offer. I have a publisher who wants to put out a book," Leach revealed. "And I've been back-and-forth with them. I definitely have a story to tell. But I'm just wondering when's a good time to do it, and if I have the confidence and the time to write it. But the offer is definitely on the table right now. So I'm just sorting out whether or not I have the wherewithal to jump on it."He continued: "It's a big challenge. People think, 'Oh, yeah, you should write a book.' But that's a huge undertaking. So maybe in the next few years I'll do something. We'll see. Or maybe this year. Who knows? [Laughs]"Asked if there are any plans to film the Australian DJ and spoken-word shows for a possible DVD release, Leach said: "I'm gonna film this first [tour], and do at least an audiovisual recording of it. If I'm happy with it, maybe I'll release snippets of it. But, for me, hopefully, it's just a way to maybe do more of this. If that leads to me finally getting the confidence to write my book, then so be it. And if not, at the very least, give fans the insight into my life."He continued: "I just see this as a way to give back to all these people who have been so generous to me and have supported me in my art. I do feel very fortunate about it, 'cause there are many, many talented musicians that I admire and love that are unknown. And I got the luck of the draw. That's it; I mean, that's just how it is. So, for me, it's just a way to give back and to share my story, and hopefully to help people out at some point."KILLSWITCH ENGAGE's fifth studio album, "Disarm The Descent", sold around 48,000 copies in the United States in its first week of release to land at position No. 7 on The Billboard 200 chart. The CD arrived in stores on April 2, 2013 via Roadrunner Records.
